Everything in our lives carries a deeper meaning; nothing happens by chance. Every corner, every detail around us hides a story within. At some point, each of us has wondered: Why was green chosen for the flag of Saudi Arabia? Some may have simply asked without seeking the answer, while others were driven by curiosity to discover it.
Looking back at the Kingdom’s rich history, we find that colors were never used merely for decoration; they served as cultural symbols, carrying messages with profound significance. The green of our flag represents our religious identity, peace, growth, and life itself. It reflects the Kingdom’s deep-rooted connection to its Islamic faith, pride in its heritage, and its aspiration to raise a banner that mirrors its essence, in a color of serenity, elevation, and faith.

Today, in Saudi Arabia, we live that meaning vividly. From the intricate Najdi patterns to the embroidered Hijazi garments, to the fragrant mountains of the south with their ornaments, all unite to form one canvas of a nation, painted with a thousand colors and a thousand stories. Our identity is not only what we see, but what we carry within us: pride, belonging, and connection. And now, as we celebrate 95 years, we honor our authentic identity and our proud green flag, which embodies the truest meanings of pride.
